Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials

Early in 2016 Event Mobility were informed that we were to be the Nominated Charity for the year 2017 at the Mitsubishi Badminton Horse Trials. From that initial contact we set up a Badminton Horse Trials Committee to discuss how we would maximise on this fantastic opportunity and ensure we did not get to the end of the event with any regrets. What came out of one of these meetings was the importance of not just Mitsubishi Badminton Horse Trials helping to raise money for the general upkeep of the charity but instead to utilise it to raise funds for one particular project. To this end it had been decided a long time ago that Event Mobility needed an 18 ton lorry to add to our fleet of trailers and 7.5 ton lorry to enable us to help more people at even more events nationwide.

During the run up to the event we made sure that we would not let ourselves down on the days of the horse trials so an investment was made into signage, badges etc., to help raise the Event Mobility profile. Particular thanks must go to John Cohen, an Event Mobility Trustee who took on the onerous position of Project Manager for the event. John spent a great deal of time and effort to ensure everything was in place for the Horse Trials as well as attending and helping at Badminton on all 5 days.

The Charity would like to extend our thanks to the staff at the Badminton Horse Trials office that could not do enough to help Event Mobility in the run up to and during the event. The charity is extremely proud of the relationship that Badminton and Event have developed over the past 12 years of working together.

We are delighted to announce that following the fantastic generosity of the attendees of the Mitsubishi Badminton Horse Trials we were able to purchase a suitable 18 ton lorry which we take delivery of in January 2018 and we can’t wait to show off at next year’s horse Trials.

2018 – What to look forward to…

Planning for 2018 is well underway, and almost all of the events for 2017 have been confirmed for next year, together with some exciting new additions.

A taste of things to come…
